First time creating a character, be kind
Teodoro (Teo)
Gnome Sorcerer 1
Chaotic Good
Size: Small
Height: 3'2''
Build: Slight, even by Gnome standards
Eyes: Big orange/yellow
Hair: Spikey, bright red
Skin: Resembles the palest of human skin
Favored Outfit: The only aspect of him that remains from his conservative foster parents, brown vest over a white buttoned shirt. Typical brown pants and shoes that resemble, apart from the size, an average shopkeeper.
Languages: Common, Spanish
[Stats and such will be HeroLabbed out early tomorrow]
Background:
His true family is unknown to him. At an early age, he was taken in by Spanish shopkeepers who thought he could be handy around their store. And although he was good-hearted and worked hard, he was often bored by the routine at this general goods store. He began to amuse himself with various practical pranks. Tying shoes together here, splashing water there; he became a well-liked mascot for the shop. His charming manner was enough to keep him employed, despite all the disruptions. It was clear there wasn't an ounce of malice in him or his tricks.
He only occasionally garnered the ire of the shopkeepers. More importantly, Teo's pranks also grabbed the attention of several similarly-inclined fey. They slowly guided Teo to a seemingly innate understanding of magic. (He doesn't know that they're "Fey" or anything about them in particular, he just seems to "get" magic.)
These Fey also grew bored quickly in Teo's surroundings and it is likely had a direct impact in the following event. One day Chairman Jiminez of the local Merchant Guild came to visit unannounced. Everybody, including Teo, was immediately set on pins and needles. While investigating the shop's produce selection, Teo's illusory paint jumped out of thin air and splashed Jiminez's coat sending him reeling backwards. Teo cannot recall anything in between Jimenez entering the store and the moments after when he heard snickers of fellow patrons amused by the prank.
Jiminez had only bruised his ego (and perhaps his bottom), but the shopkeepers were later pressured to their breaking point by the Merchant Guild to make amends. With legitimate hope for his success, the shopkeepers released Teo to find more interesting surroundings...
