She breaks from her reverie as the commotion precedes hans return, shaking thoughts of the intrusion for later concerns.
"Well it could work depending on if his abilities are less than claimed and if we could do it without alerting half the estate in doing so" Alicia says bluntly

Orgoth smiles as he pictures his new axe drenched with blood of his enemies.
He snorts, "Tell me where weak nephew is. I kill myself."

"Good job Hans! I agree with Alicia, if we move quick, maybe we could incapacitate him before he knows what is happening. Um," he turns slowly turns towards Orgoth, "I know you want him dead. But I think he might be more valuable to us alive. I know I have lots of questions for him, at least."
Teo is greatly concerned that if the half-orc has his way, Teo won't have a chance to learn anything from the only necromancer he's likely to meet in his life.

"If they're planning on raising more skeletons, we may as well try to take Vizzini before there are more reinforcements. What if Han goes up as lookout, since he's in disguise, and we follow him, trying to take Damien as quickly as possible? Orgoth, really, you're going to have to wait to kill him later," Leath says. Considering the barbarian's temperament, he adds, "If anything goes awry, and we get attacked, we'll need you on the front line, though, smashing up any other enemies that come at us. If we can get Damien, but we get attacked in the process, I say we run back with him for the tunnels as fast as we can, and cave in part of the tunnel behind us so we can escape."

Orgoth growls, "Fine! I no kill nephew. I no care. Others to fight." He turns his back on the party, then says aloud, "Cowards. Always stuck with cowards."

"We have to move fast before we're spotted, come on!" Hans climbs back up and does one last check of the fort for bandit patrols [perception].

Teo has always been a miserable climber, but he does not want be a burden to his friends. He moves towards the rope and begins his attempted ascent. [Climb]

Orgoth hears Teo's struggle to climb and chuckles at him. "Little man should stay on ground. Not strong enough for this." He walks over, grabs Teo by the back of his shirt, and tries to push the little man up the rope as far as he can.
[If Teo is successful] He quickly says to the rest of the party, "Hurry. Follow." Orgoth then climbs the rope himself. [Climb]

Hans sees no bandit patrol as he climbs up. He feels the reassuring weight of his new weapon hanging from his chest.
[Total perception roll=11]
---
[Teo's climb check=8]
The gnome has difficulty on the rope at first, but Orgoth and Hans help him reach the top. He easily fits through the opening at the top.
---
[Orgoth's climb roll=17]
Orgoth is able to easily climb the rope after Teo, although he struggles for a bit to fit through the hole. There's some noise as he does so in his armor, but it does not seem as though any guards heard it.
---
On the ground, Alicia and Elgeon notice something. The waters in front of the cave are churning slightly, and there is something splashing within the cave. Whatever it is strikes the water with a lot of force, and Wu quickly moves away from the cave. Elgeon goes up the rope next, with Wu going after him. Alicia and Azreal are still on the ground, although Leath is just below the hole in the wall.

Wary of what is in the water she decides it best to follow Aldeus up the rope. Azreal waits to aid her ascent if she needs it before climbing up himself. [Climb x 2]

[If the party all succeed the climb] Hans loads his blunderbuss with the non-lethal ammunition and beckons the group the follow. He darts across towards the hedgemaze, stopping along the hedge but not in view of the courtyard inside. Once there he motions the direction of Vizzini and nods, waiting for the group to assemble.

[Aldeus Climb=17]
Aldeus easily ascends the rope, moving into position at the top.
---
Alicia stumbles at climbing, falling to the ground as she tries to lift herself up.
[Alicia's climb roll=5, Azreal climb roll=11]
However, the strong hands of her eidolon catch her and boost her up again, allowing her to climb as Leath and Wu assist her. Azreal ascends the rope much more rapidly than his form would first suggest.
---
Hans hears Vizzini from his hiding place, his mind imagining the necromancer talking to his skeletal companion again.
"Ah, Little Dante, it seems that worthless sellsword forgot about my wine," Malfatto mutters. "If Uncle Damien wants me to raise another unit tomorrow, he'll need more than this cheap swill."
The sound of glass shattered echoes through the hedge maze. A quick peak shows the necromancer had thrown the bottle to the ground.
"If only I could fillet that wretch alive," Dante Vizzini says, half muttering. "But at least your screams were musical. The children always are."
The party is now entirely behind Hans, waiting for his move.

Hans takes a deep breath and begins walking swiftly towards the necromancer, filled with hatred for the man, his blunderbus held slung over his shoulder as to be concealed. He beckons the group to follow when he is a few steps ahead. "Oi brung you the wine," Hans says approaching Dante. When he reaches Dante he flips his blunderbus over his shoulder and brings into view of Dante's face. "One word or hand motion and you're dead," Hans glares. [Intimidate or Bluff your choice, both are relevant]

Dante looks back in disbelief as he follows the weapon.
[Hans' bluff roll=1. Crit failure.]
"Fire that weapon, and every guard comes running faster than I can shout," the necromancer smugly grins. "I presume you took that from the Cathayan."
He waves his fingers, and things in the shrubs begin moving. Verdant shapes in humanoid posture emerge from the hedges surrounding the center, as a mossy smell fills the air. They shamble about, and Hans can clearly see what they are. They are zombies, with various vines, flowers, and plants growing on their decomposing bodies. While Hans is distracted by the shambling compost piles, the small skeleton shoves the weapon muzzle away. Dante Vizzini runs for the opposite exit from the hedge maze. "Help me!" he shouts as loud as he can. "Intruders!"
[The location is a 30 foot by 30 foot square shaped clearing in the center of the hedge maze. There is a small fountain in the center, and the party is positioned at the southern entrance. The only other way in or out (aside from over the hedges) is the northern exit, where Dante is running for. The hedges are 9 feet tall. The zombies are emerging from the eastern and western walls of the central clearing. The small skeleton is positioned directly in front of Hans. You can do one action before combat begins.]
