"Then we shall go to Newton," Brandon says. "I thank you all sincerely. Bringing closure to this horrifying war and ceasing the abominations it has spawned, will let me sleep better at night."
"Your credits will be cashed out in standard gold before you go," Caldeus' voice says. "An army of automatons will arrive within one week. Survive until then."
A construct brings sacks of gold towards the party, with names inscribed on them.
"Psychlis," Sven says. "It's been an honor battling alongside you, but we cannot accompany you. We must head back to our own lands. But mention my name to Erik Redsword, captain of the Varangians, and you will gain a friend for life in Miklagaard."
With that, the Vikings assemble and head out of the cave, some brandishing new equipment. The party follows them, and heads back towards the blinding light of day. Flan the pony is waiting for Leath, but the party notices they are not alone outside. The duergar from before had camped out above them, but do not bother to interact with them. Some of their kin, now freed of mind control, are embraced by their comrades. The gray dwarves vanish into the brush as the full party emerges. The Vikings head south, while Brandon leads the rest to the stone shrine from before. The party enters, and the world vanishes around them.
