Background: Elgeon was the offspring of a short, but nonetheless passionate, romantic adventure between Gavin, a poor human woodcutter, and a young, beautiful elf of the high society. The curiosity of the young elf for the human race, led to their encounter in the forested regions of northern Europe, and soon after this affair was over, the elf realized she was carrying a child. Due to the racial and cultural differences, a half-elf would be hardly accepted in this high elven society, and therefore, as soon as Elgeon was born, his mother left him to his human father. Gavin lived alone in a wooden hut, in the region of Lorraine (not far from today's Luxembourg), afar from any town or settlement of the sort, and did his best to raise Elgeon. At Elgeon’s 8th birthday, his father offered him a fine, handmade bow and a set of arrows, and taught him the art of hunting. Soon, Elgeon developed exceptional stalking and hunting skills, combining the best traits of his human and elven origin. At the age of 16, a cousin of his father, named Gain, convinced Elgeon to leave this hermit lifestyle and follow him in the city of Bordeaux, in order to work for him and later build his own future.
Having lived far from the general population, Elgeon was slightly worried about his social skills, and his father had always told him that half-elves are considered to be bastards; however, a big city is always the meeting point of multiple cultures and it would be the perfect place for a half-elf to blend in. During the next few years though, Gain turned out to be a crime boss, and Elgeon ended up using his observational and stalking skills to spy on various important figures of the society, providing this information to Gain, who then used it to blackmail and control people in order to make profit. At first, Elgeon liked this ‘job’, as it was fun and it also allowed him to adapt his skills, trained in plain nature, to the urban environment. Gain's assignment were turning out to be increasingly dangerous... Elgeon not only had to stalk people, he was often required to take them out. However, as Elgeon left puberty and grew to be a young adult, he started being more conscious of the moral implications of this ‘job’, and decided to make a change. He had started by hunting wild animals in the forest for food, and now had ended up killing innocent people. One day, at the age of 21, and without any notice (fearing his uncle's reaction), he headed to the port and embarked on a merchant ship, and a few weeks later ended up in Venice…
Preferred combat: Ranged
Favored Enemy: Humanoid (Human). Not out of hatred, but this is what he has been doing.
