Orgoth sits down at a bench in front of the estate. Even while sitting Orgoth is still a foot taller than Teo. He doesn't look him in the eye; he instead rests his head on his axe. "It's not the planning, little-man. Well, maybe the planning is slow and hard, but it is not main reason for reaction. Orgoth doesn't like being inside. Feels like a caged animal. Maybe because used to be caged." He flashes half a smile to Teo. "Ah dermo! Orgoth does not want to create drama. If we go on mission Orgoth show true nature. Planning will not matter on battlefield. All that matter is splitting enemy skull with Axe!" He taps his axe on the ground again, then picks it up by the neck. He stands up as if ready to go and he leans against the wall, waiting for the rest of the group.

Milford fumbles with his amulet. "Marshes? How dreadful. The sea has its dangers: storms, squalls, and the like. But marshes? Unsettling. I see the sense of gathering information around the surrounding area, but I hope you forest dwellers know what you are doing."
Landlubbers, the lot of them.
Milford is curious to know more about this German though...

Outside on the bench, Theo thinks he notices a woman with flowing red hair wink at him before vanishing into the crowd.
---
Anafesto continues. "His name is Hans Flugen, a somewhat portly fellow," Anafesto continues. "He acts as a middleman for my clients in the Holy Roman Empire. His most dangerous weapon is his tongue. He was heading towards Scalo Est, and if you find him, I am sure you will find that out soon enough. I recommend you make haste, for I shall give an extra 100 gold if you can return with him alive. He will be able to give you more details about Scalo Est and the estate than I can currently provide you with."

Teo comes back into his own excitable nature as he is legitimately interested in seeing this formidable warrior in action. "Yes, Orgoth! I don't think anybody's too worried about our chances against these brigands..."
He thinks he notices a woman with flowing red hair wink at him before vanishing into the crowd.
"...with you on.... our side" his speech trails off mindlessly as he starts instinctively following after where he last saw the woman in the crowd.

"Oi, Little-man!" orgoth tries to follow Teo, but he isn't a tracker, and the small man easily disappears in the crowd. After a few minutes Orgoth heads back to the estate.

Addressing the rest of the party still in the merchant's office, Elgeon says "Okay. I guess I'm ready when you are. And I'm not gonna turn down an extra 100 gold."
[OOC: What time of the day is it at that moment?]

Looks to the others "Yes,it would be best to draw this to a close before we lose Mr. Orgoth & Teo, otherwise I am quite satisfied with this arrangement as well." She say finishing her statement giving a slight nod to their benefactor.

Teo searches frantically, but he cannot find the strange woman from before. He does, however, see Orgoth staring out over the crowd before heading back to Anafesto's estate.
[Teo rolled 7 (+2)=9 for Perception.]
--
"Bene," Anafesto bows his head slightly. "It is almost noon. If you depart now, you can make good distance before nightfall. I wish you luck, and wish you good speed."

Teo curses his tiny legs for being unable to keep up. He runs back towards Orgath. Out of breath, he asks him, "Did you see that woman? Or was it just a figment of my imagination? Well, either way, we should get back. I don't want our new friends to think us lost!"

"An overland route it is, then," Leath says, "if we're going to try to find this Hans Flugen on the way. Good." He gives a polite but awkward sort of half-bow, half-nod to Anafesto, and goes outside to wait with Orgoth and Teo, finding the gnome in a state of unusual excitement. He is curious but decides not to pry into the affairs of those he doesn't know well.

She does another small curtsy to Matteo "It is a pleasure meeting you Mr. Anafesto and I hope to have this settled in a timely manner." She says politely before making her way out with the others."

"I'll be sure to keep a note of everything that happens for you, in case you were interested," Darian comments as he leaves.

"Goodbye sir". Elgeon follows the others as one by one they walk out. He is feeling both excited and nervous about this 'mission'. Excited as he is soon to exit this city and roam freely in the wilderness, but nervous for taking on this mysterious mission the risks of which he cannot really estimate, along with a group of people he does not fully trust yet. "There's only one way to find out though..." he thinks as he steps out into the daylight.

Orgoth and Teo notice the group departing from the estate, and realize the trek before them will be a long one.
---
The marshes of Venice gives way to more solid ground after a few hours of travel. The number of travelers, from merchants to other travelers to garishly dressed mercenaries, tends to decrease greatly the further they get from the city. On the northeastern road, the number of fellow travelers drops down significantly faster than others, given the recent brigand and undead attacks. The nearby countryside likewise seems overgrown and ill-tended, as the previous inhabitants presumably fled or refuse to go about their daily lives. As the road grows narrower and the sun sinks in the sky, an arboreal cathedral of bare tree branches reaching upwards like skeletal hands.
Billowing out from ahead of the group is a dark, ominous tower of smoke rising from the distant tree line. The smell of burning wood assaults their nostrils as rapid footfalls are heard through the underbrush. A man bursts through nearby brambles, caked in sweat and blood. He is unshaven, and likely has not changed his clothes or cleaned himself in days. Despite this, he is somewhat overweight, with a small stomach extending out of his waistline. His hands constantly fidget and jerk towards various blades and a crossbow hanging from his backpack. He stares awkwardly at the party, before pointing at the opening in the woods behind him. He collapses, conscious but worn down.

After leaving the estate she delayed the group just long enough for her armored escort to arrive with her things and to find a location to quickly change into something slightly more suitable for traveling the wilds, but afterward she seemed fully prepared to set off.She remarks her actions to be a bit of an impropriety on her part but expounds on how it would save time in the long run.
Later that night as she hears the footfalls and the man bursts through the underbrush her hands go up and almost instinctually motions for her companion to position itself in between herself and the potential threat. She looks to the Cleric when the full picture of the situation comes into focus.
"Master Darien, I do believe this would be more your strong suit" The obvious concern creeping into her normally demure tone.
